HEALING TRAUMA THROUGH HYPNOSIS
Saturday 1.11.2020, 2pm-8pm
Six hour full-day experiential workshop
The WOOM Center, $100
274 Bowery, 2nd Floor, NYC, between Houston & Prince
This weekend I’m returning to one of my favorite laboratories of weird science, restorative experiences, and divine company, The WOOM Center, to offer Healing Trauma Through Hypnosis. During this full-day 6-hour workshop we’ll be practicing as much as we discuss how hypnosis and guided therapies are wonderful tools for relieving pain, relaxing anxieties, and moving forward. In my very biased opinion, I do believe hypnotherapy and trance psychology to be more relevant than they have ever been. The layers of distraction in our technologized lives have us all deeply hypnotized. The screens of our devices are trance-inducing substances and the dopamine-driven loops they encourage are inherently stimulating.
Education is inoculation. We will be defining and observing together how trance is woven into our awareness, mindset, and culture; not only what we give attention to, but how we give attention to it. Attendees will be invited to explore their own material specifically and generally through writing and observations. We’ll cover core principles for practice, relief and trauma in the body and brain (in brief), and a few central patterns offering exercises and tools to take home with you. Retention of relief and benefits tend to be strengthened exponentially when we share them with our friends and families.
